Covid-19 - parent info

Please find below some home learning ideas...

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all safe and happy at home.

On this website I will be uploading weekly ideas for you to have a go at while you are learning at home. These challenges will be linked to a story which I will read for the children and upload to the school's Youtube channel. You will find a direct link to each story weekly.

Below this message you will see a list of other handy websites you could use. Please remember that Oxford Owl have eBooks that you can download so that your child can continue with their reading journey at home.

Please do not feel any pressure or worry if your child is not accessing the learning. Remember there is a parent support email where I can answer any questions that you may have which is

If your child is enjoying the learning challenges and whizzing through them, please feel free to access the learning set for Year 1 too.

In Early Years I cannot stress enough the importance of play for your child's development. During free play children decide what they want to do, how they want to do it and when they want to start and stop. Play facilitates learning in every aspect and increases physical and mental health and wellbeing. Free play allows children to follow their own interests and provides a sense of control and independence. All children need time and space for free play every day, now possibly more than ever.

I am missing you all very much and I am so proud of all of you.

I hope to see you all very soon,

Take care and stay safe,

Miss Hartwell x
